Serra Adentro was born from a deep passion for Serra da Estrela and the spirit of adventure. Based in the picturesque village of Manteigas, nestled in the heart of the mountains, our company was created in 2025 by a group of off-road enthusiasts who shared the dream of showcasing a more authentic side of the Serra. Though we had conceived the idea earlier, the major fires that devastated the region in previous years led us to put the project on hold. It was only with the Serra being reborn that we decided to move forward and transform this passion into a mission: to provide unique and memorable experiences in Portugal's highest mountain range.
Our team consists of local guides from Manteigas and surrounding areas, with deep knowledge of the region, its history, culture, and well-kept secrets. With a fleet of fully equipped and rigorously maintained 4x4 vehicles, we guarantee comfort and safety on all our routes through the stunning landscapes surrounding our base in Manteigas.
At Serra Adentro, we believe that the true beauty of Serra da Estrela lies far from conventional tourist routes. That's why we design itineraries that take our clients to discover magical and little-known places, always with maximum respect for the nature and environment that so inspires us.
At Serra Adentro, we are deeply committed to preserving and restoring the natural environment of Serra da Estrela. After the devastating fires of 2022, we plan to actively participate in reforestation events and conservation efforts throughout the region.
For every trip we organize, we will contribute part of the profits to local reforestation projects, helping to restore native flora and create a more resilient ecosystem.
We will organize quarterly tree planting events with volunteers for our clients and local community members.
Our vehicles will undergo regular maintenance to minimize emissions, and we will follow strict waste management protocols.
All our guides will be trained to educate visitors about local ecosystems and conservation efforts.

Em visita a Manteigas foi com a Mafalda/Serra Adentro que fui mostrar neve à minha filha (10 anos). A Serra Adentro é uma excelente opção para quem, como eu, não tem meio de transporte próprio.
