Caminhada pelas Faias de São Lourenço
5.6 km walk along the Route of the Beeches, lasting around 1 h 45 min. A burst of colours from the green of the pine trees to the golden, red and brown hues of the beeches and chestnuts. Stunning viewpoints, featuring the São Lourenço viewpoint and chapel, and the watchtower overlooking the slopes and valleys surrounding Manteigas during the warmer months.
Piquenique no Covão da Ponte
Beside the Mondego River, a short pause to recharge after the walk. Idyllic landscape to admire autumn colours and aromas, with a picnic of regional products ready to enjoy with friends and family.
Passeio de jipe por Bosques centenários
From Covão da Ponte to Penhas Douradas, route mostly off conventional roads, crossing ancient forests and woodlands. Burst of colours and textures in an absolutely stunning natural setting.
A caminho do Vale das Éguas
From Covão da Ponte to Penhas Douradas, dense forests of oaks, chestnuts, and pines line the route, until reaching a drier area with low vegetation. The woodland of Vale das Éguas appears as a lush, surprising oasis.
